SY TAMIRO – Upgraded for the 2026 Season
SY TAMIRO returns for the 2026 season with a comprehensive series of upgrades, enhancing performance, safety, and onboard experience to an exceptional new level.
At the core of these improvements is a completely renewed sailing setup. With new standing rigging and brand-new sails, TAMIRO delivers improved performance, greater reliability, and a smoother, more responsive sailing experience—whether cruising between islands or enjoying longer passages.
Technology on board has been significantly advanced with the integration of the Smarter.Yachts system, bringing intuitive control of key yacht functions such as gangway, anchor winch, and lighting directly to your fingertips.
Safety and visibility have been further enhanced with a powerful searchlight, a mast-mounted camera system, and an additional forward-looking camera—providing improved awareness during navigation and anchoring, especially in low-light conditions.
On deck, TAMIRO is now equipped with a 25% longer stainless steel anchor chain, offering increased flexibility and security when anchoring in a wide variety of conditions and depths.
Lighting has been taken to the next level, both above and below the waterline.
With six spreader lights, the yacht benefits from outstanding deck illumination at night, while the latest generation of underwater lights creates a stunning visual atmosphere—perfect for evenings at anchor.
Inside, comfort has been further elevated with new reading lights in all cabins, each equipped with a dedicated USB charging port at every bed—allowing guests to relax, read, and conveniently charge their devices in a warm and thoughtfully designed atmosphere.
Operational comfort has also been improved with the installation of electric valves for the black water system, ensuring easier handling, enhanced hygiene, and a more seamless onboard experience.
The Result
SY TAMIRO combines enhanced sailing performance, cutting-edge technology, and elevated comfort—offering a refined and confident yachting experience for the 2026 season.

About the Crew
Captain Giannis Lamprou
With a deep-rooted passion for the sea, Captain Giannis brings both professionalism and personality to every voyage. Having spent the past several years commanding crewed catamarans in the Greek islands, he combines extensive maritime experience with an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. His solid seamanship, calm leadership, and intimate knowledge of the Aegean make him a trusted and confident captain in all conditions.
Giannis’s journey in the tourism and hospitality industry began at the age of 14, when he worked as a waiter, bartender, and restaurant manager. These early experiences instilled in him a strong work ethic and a genuine love for providing exceptional service — qualities that continue to define his approach at sea.
Beyond sailing, Giannis has also worked professionally as an actor, often performing in children’s theatre during the winter months. This creative side has given him a remarkable ability to connect with people, read the mood on board, and create a welcoming, engaging atmosphere for his guests.
Fluent in Greek, English, and Italian, Giannis effortlessly bridges cultures and ensures that everyone feels at home aboard. His love for storytelling, poetry, and the open sea makes him not only a skilled skipper, but also a true host — one who transforms every journey into an unforgettable experience.
Cook/Hostess Stefania Itala Ferteklidi
Stefania, born and raised in Greece, is a passionate chef and pastry expert whose culinary journey spans fine dining, luxury hospitality, and yachting. Having trained in pastry arts and worked across Europe — from Michelin-starred restaurants in Amsterdam and France to contemporary kitchens in Athens and island resorts in Paros and Santorini — she has developed a refined sense of flavor and presentation.
Her dual Greek–Italian heritage shines through her cooking, blending Mediterranean authenticity with modern technique and a deep love for both cuisines. Using fresh, local ingredients, she crafts dishes that are elegant, balanced, and full of character.
Stefania’s yachting experience has deepened her adaptability and precision, mastering the challenges of cooking at sea while delivering gourmet experiences tailored to each guest. Warm, dedicated, and creative, she brings both artistry and professionalism to every table she serves.
Fluent in Greek, English, and Italian, Stefania connects effortlessly with guests from around the world, ensuring a memorable and welcoming culinary journey on board.

We want to thank you for the amazing week we spent sailing around the Ionian Islands on TAMIRO It has been a great experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Crew. You were both excellent, always making sure we were comfortable and happy. Captain always found the most beautiful places to anchor, making each stop special. And Chef cooking is incredible.
We will miss you… play UNO, and the pool is open!!!
You are both so generous and kind, and you must promise to open some kind of restaurant in the future.
We will always remember this trip.
"See you later, alligator!!!"
