Dear Alys and Rodrigo,

You both made our week aboard Apricity truly magical. Thank you for creating a once-in-a-lifetime Caribbean experience our family will always treasure.

From the moment we stepped on board, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and fun. We instantly felt at home. You were incredibly attentive to every detail-balancing flexibility in the itinerary with a genuine focus on everyone's comfort and enjoyment.

Alys, your meals were simply superb. The quality, flavor, and presentation were all outstanding. Each morning began beautifully with a fresh fruit spread, and your creative happy hour offerings quickly became a daily highlight. Two desserts stood out in particular: the Pavlova you so thoughtfully prepared for our anniversary - a meaningful tradition from your family - and the light-as-air lemon custard that had everyone asking for the recipe.

Rodrigo, one of my favorite moments was hearing the squeals of delight as you towed our granddaughters on an inner tube around the bay. From the videos they weren't the only ones having fun. Your quick sense of humor and easygoing nature added so much joy to the experience.

You exceeded our expectations in every way. Anyone fortunate enough to charter a trip with you will not be disappointed.

This trip was AMAZING! The Apricity is a relatively smaller boat, although with 6 people we were completely comfortable. The multiple levels gave everyone a spot to be without us feeling like we were on top of eachother. The space was clean, easy to access, no weird ducking to get into the bedrooms (we had that on a prior boat and everyone hit their heads). Bathrooms were totally functional with a proper shower, vanity and toilet. The layout, size and cleanliness were great.

 

The best thing about our boat was the crew. Rodrigo and Alys were so wonderful. Rodrigo was a great captain and also bartender. Super chill, very friendly, happy to chat about where we are, where we're going, recommendations on where to stop, alternative options for islands etc. Also, he steered us to shore at Jost Van Dyke unbelievably well- we were all amazed at how he navigated through the other boats. It was clear in the tight spots and also in sailing that he's a pro. My husband and I have been on 2 prior BVI boat trips and yet Rodrigo took us to islands we've never visited including one that was a group favorite. He was always ready and willing with the dingy transport and a quick pickup upon request. Alys was also delightful, very organized but also chill, friendly and interesting to chat with. We can't stop talking about the food she made- it was all incredibly fresh, delicious and the presentation was a 10/10. I have never in my life taken pictures of food, but we took a picture of every single meal- it was that beautiful (and also delicious). She was always appearing with a gorgeous appetizer or specialty beverage and her desserts were honestly... indescribable. We left the boat on Friday, today is Monday and we are still talking about how great they were and considering whether our next trip should be based on destination/location or on availability of Rodrigo and Alys.

 

We have tons of great pictures of the boat and our trip, but mostly taken by my kids (and I don't have them) so I'm not posting any here but the photos online are very representative of the boat and layout- no wide angle lenses or photoshopping there!

 

My kids have been all over Europe and skiing out west for years and they said this is the best trip we've done. Highly recommend.

We had the absolute pleasure of sailing with the Apricity crew, Rodrigo and Alys, for seven nights in May 2026. I don't think I have the words to adequately express my gratitude for the exceptional level of service and care they provided to my husband, our friends, and me. This truly was the trip of a lifetime for all of us.

The compassion and care extended to my husband, who is battling ALS, was beyond words. Rodrigo’s attention to detail at every location was incredible; he constantly went above and beyond to ensure Charles was comfortable, safe, and happy.

As a group of self-proclaimed "foodies," we were blown away by Alys. Every single meal felt like Michelin-star quality. Though she easily has the toughest job on the boat, Alys handled it with total grace and ease. Her menu planning was thoughtful, creative, and beautifully balanced. While some chefs excel at cooking and others at baking, very few master both—yet Alys made both look effortless and taste delicious. To top it off, she accommodated our guests' food allergies without missing a beat.

Bottom line: if you are looking for a first-class experience, book with Rodrigo and Alys! You will not be disappointed.

I must say that we had an absolutely wonderful time on our catamaran vacation, and so much of that was because of Rodrigo and Alys. From the moment we stepped aboard, they made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease.

Rodrigo was an outstanding captain. His sailing skills, calm confidence, and attention to safety made us feel completely secure the entire trip. We were able to fully relax because we knew we were in very capable hands.

 

Alys was equally incredible. Her meals could not have been more perfectly matched to our likes and preferences. Every dish felt thoughtful, personal, and prepared exactly the way we liked it. Honestly, if we had the trip to do over again, we would have skipped the restaurants altogether and enjoyed every meal onboard.

 

Rodrigo and Alys went above and beyond to make our vacation relaxing, memorable, and truly special. Since we were celebrating our 50th birthdays, they helped make the trip feel even more meaningful. We are so grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and hospitality. We could not recommend them more highly.

Hello Rodrigo and Alys,

From the moment we stepped onto the boat, we were greeted with a smile and great food and drinks. Alys's cooking was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We asked for big flavor, and she delivered! The fresh conch ceviche was the best we have ever had. We chose to eat off the boat two nights and actually wish we would have had Alys's cooking for all of our meals instead. Her cocktails and desserts also did not disappoint! The key lime pie and meringue dessert were exceptional. 

Rodrigo's knowledge of the area and sailing skills were impressive and helped us maximize our time in the islands to see all that we had hoped to see. Rodrigo helped us all feel at ease on the water, pointed out notable areas and fun facts about the area, and kept all the water toys ready and available. Together, Rodrigo and Alys make a great team. They took into consideration all of the things we had on our preference sheet and made us feel truly welcome on the boat. We would happily have Rodrigo and Alys as our charter crew again. If we return to the area and they were on a different boat, we would consider switching boats. 

Our favorite memory was snorkeling in the bay around Peter Island where we saw several turtles, rays, giant angel fish, and even squid! We also had a lot of fun at Soggy Dollar and enjoyed the beach games at Tipsy's Bar on Anegada. If we were to go again, we would probably skip the trip to Anegada. The lobster meal wasn't worth the hype.
