With 22 years of experience navigating various passenger vessels, Captain Giannis has spent the last 14 years proudly serving as the captain of RINI-V. His foremost responsibility is ensuring the safety of both guests and crew. His deep knowledge of the Greek seas guarantees that guests will explore some of the most breathtaking and memorable destinations among the Greek islands.
While safety is always his top priority, Captain Giannis is also known for his warm personality and sense of humor, fostering a positive atmosphere onboard and a crew that is committed to delivering exceptional service. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, sailing, peaceful beach walks, and indulging in fine wine and gourmet food.

Dimitris Valvis
Chief Engineer

Dimitris is a qualified Chief Engineer and a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy in Aspropyrgos. He holds certifications in First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Life Saving. Originally from the island of Santorini, Dimitris brings over eleven years of experience across a wide range of vessel types before committing to a career in yachting. He is responsible for the overall management of the engineering department, including the maintenance of all safety systems and critical equipment. With strong mechanical skills, extensive engineering knowledge, and a proactive attitude, Dimitris ensures that all onboard systems, tenders, and water toys operate seamlessly. A true enthusiast of the sea, Dimitris enjoys watersports, fishing, and diving in his spare time. His expertise and dedication help guarantee a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests onboard.

Nikolaos Petroutsos

Chef Petroutsos Nikolaos brings over 22 years of experience from prestigious fine dining restaurants and 5-star hotels in Greece and abroad. On board, he is responsible for menu planning, provisioning, and meal preparation, with a strong focus on Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, particularly seafood. Nikolaos masterfully combines tradition with creativity to satisfy even the most discerning palates. This summer aboard RINI-V, he offers a unique culinary experience inspired by the warmth and authenticity of homemade Greek and Mediterranean dishes. His goal is to create a memorable gastronomic journey that leaves guests with lasting impressions and a true taste of Greece. His talent was recognized with 3rd place at the MEDYS Chefs Competition in 2025.

Penny Bitzou

She is a highly capable and energetic individual, known for her vibrant personality and strong sense of humor. Her genuine passion for hospitality and dedication to ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience on board make her an invaluable member of the crew. Penny’s excellent communication skills and warm demeanor allow her to connect effortlessly with people from all walks of life. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities and cherishes spending quality time with her family.

She studied Tourism and Hotel Management and has a strong passion for everything related to tourism and the sea. She is certified in first aid, firefighting, and life-saving. Doina speaks four languages, allowing her to communicate effectively with guests and ensure they feel comfortable and welcome. She enjoys interacting with people, making them feel at home, and always approaches her work with a smile and dedication. In her free time, she enjoys sports and walking in the mountains.

Kostas was born and raised in Athens. His passion for the sea and watersports led him to become a self-motivated sailor. He is a certified Able Seaman and holds both a speedboat operator license and a sailing diploma. With many years of experience in the yachting industry, Kostas brings both skill and enthusiasm to his role. As a dedicated deckhand, he focuses on delivering excellent service while building strong, trust-based relationships with guests—creating an atmosphere of comfort and safety onboard. Kostas’s love for the sea and his continuous pursuit of new experiences remain his greatest sources of motivation.

George Mastrantonis

George is originally from Athens and began his professional journey in the tourism industry, working in the hotel sector. His deep passion for the sea led him to transition into a nautical career as a deckhand six years ago. He holds a speedboat operator license and is certified as a lifeguard for both open sea and swimming pools. Additionally, he has knowledge and experience in diving. George is dedicated to ensuring the comfort and safety of all guests onboard. Enthusiastic about watersports and athletic activities, he brings energy and attentiveness to every charter. A true sailor at heart, George enjoys exploring new destinations and embracing the adventure of life at sea.
