About the Crew

Aaron Lathrop - Captain
Hailing from a diverse career path in sales, healthcare management, and emergency management, I’ve always been driven by a passion for helping others. However, my journey took a transformative turn when I discovered sailing. For years, I followed a familiar trajectory of work and family, but amidst the hustle, I felt a quiet disconnect from the natural world. Stepping onto the deck and feeling the wind in the sails was a profound reawakening. The ocean became my sanctuary—a place where the rhythm of the waves brought a sense of calm and clarity that was often lost in the demands of daily life. This isn’t just a career for me; it’s a calling to share the peace and wonder I’ve found on the water.

Now, as the captain of this catamaran, I bring a unique blend of professional expertise and genuine passion to every charter. My background has equipped me with a deep commitment to safety, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to navigate any situation with a calm and confident demeanor.

My greatest joy is sharing the magic of the sea with others, offering an escape where you can reconnect with nature and yourself. Whether you’re an experienced sailor or a first-time voyager, my goal is to provide a seamless and unforgettable experience, allowing you to relax, recharge, and discover the boundless beauty of the world around us.

NEWPORT, RI FIREWORKS!

Beautiful adventure!

Daughters and I enjoyed being on the water in new england for the 44th Of july.. a great way to get a taste of the area.  Captain Aaron was very accommodating and has an obvious pride in his boat. He wore his many hats of; captain, deckhand, chef, barback, barracks, and concierge with grace and confidence.  When can we get back oj the water!?

Mandy and Kirk - three sheets regatta

My husband and I stayed on the Quest for 12 days for my 50th. It was a perfect, relaxing getaway from winter. Aaron is very accommodating and willing to do whatever you have in mind. Lameshur Bay was probably my favorite with a hike up Rams Head for a sunrise. We went to Christmas cove and had Pizza Pi. Also visited Lime Out for lunch. The last few days of our trip we participated in the Three Sheets Regatta. Lots of things checked off my bucket list. It was truly a perfect trip! We will probably book a trip with Aaron every year from now on😊

Dave & Cindy - Valentines Day 2026

My wife and I had an amazing stay aboard the Catamaran Quest. Loved viewing St John from the water as opposed to on land. When an opportunity came up to do some sailing as opposed to staying in one place for the week we’re were happy to jump on it.

Captain Aaron was very accommodating and we got to learn a lot about the islands and sailing his boat. We’re glad we chose to have him provision the boat as it just made our time more enjoyable.

Already planning our next time onboard!

We had the most magical vacation with Aaron on Quest. He is the friendliest captain and makes sure you have everything you need. He provides a delicious breakfast and coffee every morning. He gave us options on where to go and where to moor. He set us up in the most beautiful and private bays. Easy to get a water taxi directly to his boat or he will pick you up in Cruz Bay. There is WiFi and comfortable rooms. We loved living the island boat life with Aaron. Highly recommend booking Quest!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had the most amazing charter with Quest Catamaran in the USVI! It was just my boyfriend and I, and it truly felt like the perfect private vacation experience. Captain Aaron was incredible—professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive, making sure everything was seamless from start to finish.
When we arrived, all the water toys were already set up so we could jump straight into the fun. The snorkel gear was readily available, and the kayaking was a highlight—we paddled over to the most beautiful, peaceful beach. Coolers were stocked with ice, water, sodas, beers, plus self-serve beverage dispensers filled with fresh-brewed iced tea— everything we needed for a perfect day on the water. Captain Aaron was also extremely accommodating, using the dinghy (Side Quest) to bring us to shore whenever we wanted, which made exploring effortless.
Every detail was thought out, and the entire experience felt relaxed, fun, and personalized. The little touches made it even better—a coffee bar in the morning to start the day off right, and a fresh fruit platter throughout the day that was perfect between swims and snorkeling. If you’re looking for a private, unforgettable catamaran experience in the USVI, this is absolutely the one. We can’t recommend Captain Aaron and Quest enough!

Just returned from a few lovely days aboard the Catamaran Quest, and I loved every single second of it! Captain Aaron was incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, keeping our entire group safe throughout the journey. The boat was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need — including all the snorkel gear your heart could desire!
Capt. Aaron guided us on a hike up Ram Head Trail and the views there were stunning.
Our group had an absolute blast soaking in the breathtaking beauty of the islands. And as a bonus, Captain Aaron also brews an amazing cup of coffee. Do yourself a favor and just book it!

November 2025

I recently spent five incredible days sailing aboard the catamaran Quest. From start to finish everything exceeded expectations. The boat is spacious, clean and well maintained. My Cabin was large and extremely comfortable. The amenities onboard were fantastic, two freezers and a refrigerator and a great Bluetooth sound system The starlink internet worked everywhere we went. The boat had a lot of water toys like a kayak and snorkel and dive equipment. The Captain was amazing, knowledgeable, friendly with a passion for sailing. I would highly recommend booking a charter on Quest. Its the perfect blend of adventure, comfort and pure Caribbean beauty.
