Odyssea is a beautiful 59' Fontaine Pajot chartering the BVI in the Caribbean.
Guests can relax in her spacious salon and enjoy watching all the delicious meals being prepared in the up galley. Dining on the aft deck offers alfresco dinging and relaxing on the sun-bed watching the sun set. Since we offer a wet bar, a cold beverage is never too far away; whether you are floating on the inflatable island, going for a sundowner cruise in our 15' tender or merely lying on the nets under the stars. A large sky lounge on salon roof where guests can enjoy sun bathing is a favourite spot to enjoy happy hour treats and some of the Captain's delicious cocktails all the while enjoying a 360° view and a soft sea breeze.

CAPTAIN DYLAN
Dylan brings an enthusiasm and experience to life on the water that sets the tone for every charter. With his easy-going charm and love of hospitality, your trip aboard is sure to be one of a lifetime. Dylan guides you to perfect bays and secret spots, pairing your expectations with his extensive knowledge to make exploring the Islands all the more enjoyable. Nothing is too much for his guests, whether that means sun tanning on the flybridge with a cocktail in hand or getting involved in the sailing Odyssea. He grew up sailing the Indian and Atlantic Oceans with his family, covering more than 20,000 NM over six years after leaving South Africa at the age of six. Fully qualified and commercially endorsed as an MCA/RYA Yacht Master Offshore 200GT, Dylan also holds a full STCW and is a certified PADI Dive Master.
INTRODUCING RICK & ROXANNE
This fantastic charter couple joins Yacht Odyssea in February 2025, operating with 3 crew for the 2025/2026 season with Captain Dylan remaining aboard. Rick will be in the capacity of 1st Mate for the remainder of the season, taking over as Captain full time at the start of the 2026/2027 season. Roxanne joins the yacht as Chef, bringing with her a host of culinary and hospitality experience. Rick and Roxanne will welcome you aboard as a 2 crew yacht and they are looking forward to meeting brokers at the 2026 BVI Fall Charter Yacht Show! They are fully committed to Yacht Odyssea until September 2028.
CAPTAIN RICK
After more than a decade working as a mechanical draughtsman in the mining industry, I made the decision to trade the office for the ocean and pursue a more adventurous lifestyle. Yachting, for me, is not simply a career change but a lifestyle shift—one that allows me to combine my technical background, lifelong connection to the sea, and passion for travel to create memorable experiences on the water.
I’ve been drawn to the ocean from a young age. Based in Mossel Bay, much of my free time revolves around wind and water. When the wind is up, my wife and I can be found kitesurfing; on calmer days, we’re spearfishing or scuba diving with friends. As a certified Divemaster, I enjoy sharing knowledge of anchorages and marine life, discovering new dive sites, and helping others build confidence when kitesurfing and diving.
As a Captain, my approach is calm, organised, and guest-focused. I prioritise safety, clear communication, and strong teamwork, with the goal of delivering smooth, seamless charters where guests can fully relax and enjoy their time onboard.

I’m a South African–born creative with a strong hospitality background, now bringing that same energy and passion into the world of yachting. As a certified PADI Divemaster, I have a deep connection to the ocean and a genuine love for exploration, adventure, and learning new skills.
Food is at the heart of what I do and I love creating menus. My style flows naturally through the day, from nourishing breakfasts and beach-style lunches to elegant dinners and special celebrations. I enjoy working with fresh, local ingredients whenever possible and pride myself on being flexible, intuitive, and attentive to guest preferences and dietary requirements.
Outside the galley, I’m highly active on the water. My husband introduced me to kitesurfing, which has quickly become my favorite sport. When the wind isn’t blowing, we spend our time freediving and scuba diving, making the most of life at sea.

What can we say other than this really did exceed all expectations!
Captain Dylan, Ric and Rox were absolutely wonderful! It was the crew who truly made this experience special for all of us. They were so attentive, knowledgable, personable, fun and so incredibly talented at what they do. The food, the sailing, the drinks...We can't ever imagine going on another charter without them. We are just so incredibly grateful it was those 3 lovely people who shared in this experience with us. We cannot thank them enough.
We were all in awe at how Rox and the crew could create such lovely meals for us all in such a small space! The food was delicious, fresh, beautifully presented and was probably the highlight of the whole trip.
There were so many aspects that we all loved on this trip. We spent quality time relaxing, exploring and Dylan was so knowledgable of the area, we relied on his expertise and it was excellent. We loved the emails and our time on board with the crew as well as exploring the BVI. The boat and crew were exceptional!
The pace was great and Dylan took all aspects of our must see islands and blended that with the weather and created special trip for us. The BVI is a lot of fun to explore and we loved it and loved this crew!

Meals were outstanding. Chef adjusted her meal plan to our preference sheet while staying true to the foodie experience. Creative cuisine with a flair for ingenious flavor profiles. BEST gluten-free meals I've ever had. Five stars for sure!

The crew quickly adjusted to our style of vacationing and they offered wonderful suggestions on how to have the best experience.

The off-boat experience was probably the least favorite. Cocomaya was a very long cab ride from where we docked which we didn't realize. The food was great but I'm not sure it was worth a $180 cab ride. Gi's food was better in my opinion.

Perfect. We were presented with options that suited our pace, and we trusted the crew to steer us in the right direction...and they did.

Yes! We are already talking about a 2027 trip. We loved Dylan, Mario, and Gi. They made the trip so much more than we ever expected. If they are still on Odyssea, great! If they are on another boat, we would follow them to that boat.

▷ All three crew members were fabulous. We would give them all very high marks on all these attributes - friendly, knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating. They were very focused on doing what we wanted and what we liked. They were very enjoyable to be with. They went out of their way to understand what we liked and disliked and adjust the plan to accommodate our feedback.
Was the yacht comfortable, clean and well ventilated? What was your favorite aspect of the yacht?
▷ The crew took great pride in making sure everything was clean and in good working order. They had a number of very creative ways to make us more comfortable and have easier access to things we used. We did tell them that they needed more ventilation in the outdoor dining area and another step or two on the ladder to get out of the water. They had already planned to address those issues when they had down time.
Was the food enjoyable and well presented? Did the chef customize the menu to your preferences?
▷ Gi was simply amazing. Her meals were all phenomenal - creative, fresh, very well tasty, healthy . She vetted the menu with us and adjusted to special needs. We really enjoyed her descriptions of the preparation that she gave before each meal. She should create and sell a cookbook!

When I think of how to describe this trip, the best word that comes to mind is … Incredible! Having a stomach that doesn’t have ‘its’ “sea legs”, I was quite concerned about coming. HOWEVER, there was never a moment when I didn’t feel that my happiness and comfort was their priority. This trip and CREW completely outdid our expectations! Being a 62 year old wife, mother, daughter…I can’t remember when I’ve felt SO COMPLETELY SPOILED! And, SO relaxed! Can’t imagine ever sailing with ANY other crew. We LOVE them ALL! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, kindness, hospitality and beautiful smiles! :)

When I received the text from Eloise on Dec 9 “BVI for my birthday. First week of February. Ya’ll in?” Well of course I texted back, “I’m totally in.” Planning began and excitement grew not knowing what to expect for this week in BVI.
Dylan (captain) - thank you for taking us to so many beautiful bays, teaching us lots of fun games, sharing all your knowledge about the BVI, and your constant attention to empty drinks :) Thank you for being kind to me on Big Mabel.
Gi (Ninja) and chef extraordinaire: each meal full of flavour and beautifully prepared. You have a true gift and we can’t wait to attempt your recipes. Your laughter (even your snorts :)) are contagious. It was so much fun, all of us sitting around the table spending hours laughing and playing games.
Mario ( Mr. Hospitality): the minute we came up those stairs you had our coffee either already prepared or close to it. Somehow you knew when we needed a refill - oh that’s right - you called it hospitality intuition. Be prepared for a rematch in B.S. :)

We loved all the amazing snorkel spots, scuba footage, game nights playing pigs, the SLINGSHOT, incredible meals that continued to amaze, and the best pina coladas on the planet! We will never forget this trip, and Will and I are especially glad the we got ENGAGED on the most beautiful beach, with all of our favorite people, and were able to celebrate with you both. We will miss all the laughs, adventures, and memories made each day. Please come and visit us in NC! We will all be counting down the days until we get to see you guys again. Our family looked forward to this trip with wonderful expectations of enjoying the sailing, the islands, the water, the food, the diving, the snorkeling, etc. all of it was perfect! We did not expect, however for all of those wonderful things to be superceded by the enjoyment we experienced by just getting to know both of you! Not only are you both amazing professionals at your job, but you are wonderful people! I appreciated the example you set for our children. You have done a great job of hosting us this past week in paradise. This was our fourth charter and it was by far the best. One in our group had a birthday and you two made it so special. We had an issue with two of our group getting sick and you cared for them very well until they recovered. A bit scary, but recovery was quick. We saw some new places and got into many quiet anchorages. Your sound advice made for a very safe and pleasant week. Gi completely spoiled us with her food and technique. You are both very talented beyond your age and we so appreciated that. If we are fortunate enough to come back, you will be our first call. Fair winds and sunny sails.

Broker Feedback to the Captain-
Sorry for the delayed reply in getting feedback from the B’s who left ODYSSEA on the 3rd… But, I was finally able to chat with them over the phone last night, so I am relaying this…
They had an excellent time with you and Gi on board. They were very impressed with your knowledge and experience. They knew you had their best interest at heart all the time and you are super caring!
Butch loved hanging out with you, which gave Mrs. some time to herself! She loved it! She also mentioned how impressed they were with being in a small space all together, yet you both knew how to give them their space, and when to join in. It was never an issue..
The boat was very nice too. They mentioned the unfortunate weather they had, but you guys made it great. (I think she mentioned board games or dominoes or something) Whatever, they enjoyed spending that time with you.
Regarding Gi, OMG! She went off talking about her cooking and presentations. She also sent me photos in a text. Gi not only did an excellent job with cooking but the presentation was beautiful with every meal. She mentioned that “not only did she do such an excellent job, but it was effortlessly on her end. I never saw her really with a messed up galley in the middle of cooking. She never really saw her in the galley making a mess, it was always very clean and organized as if she really wasn’t cooking.” (I hope I am relaying this right) "We joked about how I, or Amparo, cook a meal and everyone knows with the banging of pots/pans/dishes etc. and the kitchen would be a mess. Gi had NONE of that! She was like a magician in the galley and you never knew she could produce such great meals every day with no stress and cleanliness. Her galley was always perfect even in the middle of cooking!"
She also mentioned they would go to their room and were shocked to see the room always cleaned and perfect. She was shocked because she never saw either one of you going down to their rooms ever. Again, like a magician!
They would love to come back with you and ODYSSEA in the future, for sure…

Thank you for a wonderful week of adventure. If we could Gi home with us to cook for us we would. All our meals were wonderful, breakfast, lunch & dinner! Dylan was a great captain & cool as a cucumber when the dingy stopped running and we had to row back to the boat. He was a great participant in the What Do You Meme game! Dylan was very flexible with our itinerary and had great suggestions. We tried to get them to let us stay on as part of the crew but unfortunately that would have required them to cancel the rest of their charters! We would definitely book another charter on Slivochka with Dylan & Gi.

Thank you for making the first voyage for our kiddos such a success! Jack & I have dreamed of introducing them to such a vacation, you’re patience, attention to all of the details, and special touches made it a perfect trip. Magdalene (9 years old) will forever remember the snorkelling, getting to touch a jelly fish, diving down to touch a rock, seeing a grand sea turtle, & of course her special friend “Rob” the conch Capt. Dylan, your patience & guidance helped make all of these things possible. Jaxie (8 years old) loved sitting on the nets with the wind blowing on her face, snorkelling, tubing & of course the early morning chats with you both. Maverick (4 years) will always remember the swims in the “open seas”, his first tubing experience, searching for shells, and he will likely keep dreaming of Gi’s sweets for years to come! Truly, a wonderful, fabulous journey with you both. The pirate thanksgiving lunch was a terrific treat.

We had an amazing time! The boat was very well appointed and perfectly
accommodated our group. Dylan and Isabella were incredible. They were
knowledgeable, interesting, professional and just fun to be around. Bella is an
amazing chef and all of her food was delicious. We were all baffled by how she
cooked such gourmet meals in such a small space. Dylan did an excellent job
leading our dives and providing a fun and safe environment for all.
This really is an incredible vacation for anyone. It is so relaxing, rejuvenating and
a genuine break for day to day life.
The meals were so delicious that one of the kids wanted to propose to Bella! The
food was perfect. Bella did an amazing job working around the needs of
someone with a nut allergy and a pescatarian. The meals were interested and
beautifully presented. She was very mindful of our preference sheet.
The yacht was beautiful. It was clean, well-maintained and well appointed. The
provided toiletries were high end and very much appreciated. Everyone loved the
Sun Bum sunscreen and it was soo nice not to bring all that along. The cabins
were comfortable and the AC was great. We loved sitting on the upper deck on
our sails. It would have been a bit nicer if there was a little more shade up there
but it was not a issues. It was nicely situated next to the captain and it provided
a nice opportunity to talk with Dylan and Bella while crossing. There were plenty
of other shaded options on the boat.
We loved the coffee machine, snacks and fruit that were always out and
available. It was also super helpful to have the "lost & found" basket and the
sunglasses basket. Great idea!
The games and books were also a nice touch.
Our diving was a highlight for our family. We did two dives that were very fun.
Dylan and Bella worked seamlessly to get the equipment out, get us oriented
and prepared for the dive. Dylan did a great job reviewing skills (especially for
our kids), the dive plan and signals before were dove. We loved both the Indians
Dive and the octopus wreck dive.
The pace was a perfect balance of relaxing and active. We loved swimming,
snorkeling, diving, reading, paddle boarding, playing games & hanging out. The
cruising gave us the perfect amount of downtime between all the fun.

"We just returned from an amazing week long private charter in the BVIs on the Slivochka with Dylan as our captain and Isabella as our first mate/chef. It was one of my favorite vacations ever and first ever chartered yacht experience. Captain Dylan worked with us in the planning stages to find out exactly what our interests were and charted the perfect itinerary for our week. He found the most awesome places to show us the amazing beauty of the BVIs. He gave us options throughout the trip and accommodated everything our group wanted to see and do. He guided us on snorkel and hike excursions and was a wonderful host. Isabella was equally knowledgeable and also made suggestions along the way of things to see and do. She also joined us snorkeling, but happens to be a trained dive master. She was the most gracious host, and made our week extremely comfortable. However, her gourmet cuisine was something we looked forward to each day. Her skills as a chef allowed us to dine as if we were at a 5 Star restaurant. She also consulted with us before the trip about our food preferences, and her menu for the week exceeded our expectations. I frankly don’t know how she was able to prepare what she did on board because each meal was simply amazing. She does so much behind the scenes that I don’t know when she slept. Together, they are the perfect team and made our week at sea the most memorable and outstanding vacation, that I will be booking our next charter with them. We are three reasonably well traveled couples who just finished a most extraordinary and delightful vacation, sailing with Slivochka through the British Virgin Islands. This week long cruise on the yacht Slivochka far exceeded our expectations making it one of our best vacations ever. The three most important factors in chartering a full-service yacht are the crew, the boat, and the itinerary. Beginning with the crew, they were outstanding. Prior to our arrival they had telephoned to discuss our plans. Upon arrival they warmly welcomed us on board Slivochka with cocktails and snacks. They were both so friendly and hospitable that by the end of our cruise they were a part of our family. Dylan was an extremely competent and knowledgeable captain, always finding sheltered anchorages for us to swim and snorkel. He also made all the arrangements for any shore excursions that we enjoyed. For anything that we wanted we simply had to ask Dylan.
The meals were exquisite. She is a fantastic cook and each day’s offerings included fresh produce and salads, deliciously prepared grilled fish or meat and even some imaginatively created themed dinners. A special memory was when they joined us on Anegada for a lobster dinner in an outdoor restaurant under the full moon. They were such accommodating and congenial traveling companions who took such excellent care of us that we were sad to bid them farewell.
The second consideration was the yacht Slivochka. This is a 59-foot sailing catamaran with extremely comfortable lodging for the guests. Each air-conditioned guest cabin included a walk around queen-size bed, and in-suite head and very adequate storage space. The main deck area was spacious with indoor and outdoor dining areas, and there was a comfortable reclining area next to the bridge. On board were kayaks, paddle boards, snorkeling equipment and fishing gear for our use. The yacht was spotless and very well maintained. We had planned the itinerary with Dylan. This included stops at Norman Island, Virgin Gorda, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke and back to St. Thomas. In addition, we had many side excursions for snorkeling and exploring the beautiful British Virgin Islands.
We have charted several boats in the past in the Virgin Islands but they all pale in comparison to sailing on Slivochka. We give them our highest recommendations and hope they will be our crew for any future excursions.

Keri's food was world class delicious, Keri-you seemed to anticipate our every need even before we knew it ourselves. Such as offering hot chocolate after coming back, a bit chilly, after snorkeling. And bringing up blankets at night to the group on the sky bridge because we may become chilly. Dylan-you kept us safe in the wind and the rainstorms. You were so patient with those who had less snorkeling experience and led us on the great snorkeling paddle board caravan with your strong & capable swimming prowess. You miraculously saved Paul's hearing aids, coming to their rescue with the crevice of the rocks at "The Indians" snorkeling location. We cannot imagine a more gracious and capable crew, and we have been blessed.

This has, by far been the most incredible trip for our family that I could have imagined.
