About the Crew

Captain Pieter Möller

I grew up on the west coast of South Africa. I have had a love for the ocean from a young age. Spending weekends and holidays free diving for lobster and abalone. After completing high school, I started working in our family business that specialized in mechanical maintenance and steel fabrication. But after 16 years the call of the ocean finally became too strong. I decided to leave our family business and pursue my love for sailing and diving. My career as captain started back in Cape Town where I was captain on a 65ft classic schooner. Captaining in Cape town thought me a lot when it came to dealing with extreme conditions. Big seas and strong winds. But Cape Town wasn’t enough for me. So, I decided to set my sights on other more tropical destinations, and it brought me to the Caribbean where I got the opportunity to charter in the BVI, St Maarten, Antiqua, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Lucia. I also sailed Zanzibar off the East Coast of Africa.

As captain I pride myself on having an immaculately maintained boat in order to provide the highest level of charter service to my guests. Safety is always my number one priority but at the same time ensure that my guests are having fun and creating memories for life. Way before my guests arrive onboard, I make sure I gather an understanding of what they expect from their time onboard. BVI being an amazing destination, has so much on offer from busy beach bars to secluded beaches and anchorages where not a single other boat is in sight. Amazing snorkeling and diving at famous sites like the Rhone or sailing up to Anegada where you can get some of the biggest freshest lobster I have seen in the Caribbean.

Xander Botha (First Mate/Chef)

Born and raised in South Africa, Xander Botha grew up with a love for bold flavours, vibrant colours, and the joy of bringing people together around the table. His culinary journey began with formal training and three years of experience in kitchens ashore, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for creating dishes that celebrate freshness and creativity.

But the call of the ocean proved irresistible. Trading the security of land-based kitchens for the adventure of life at sea, Xander brought his talents aboard luxury catamarans, blending fine dining with the rhythm of the waves. His menus are inspired by global influences while honouring seasonal and local ingredients, delivering meals that are as unforgettable as the breathtaking backdrops they are served against.

Life at sea has given Xander the chance to merge his two passions—food and adventure. Whether preparing elegant meals for charter guests or curating menus that tell a story, he approaches every dish with dedication, creativity, and a warm touch of South African hospitality.

With his adventurous spirit and passion for creating unforgettable experiences, Xander ensures that every meal becomes more than just food—it’s a moment of connection, joy, and discovery shared around the table.

An amazing trip!

It has been an amazing trip thanks to Nick and Jade. They work very well together and in harmony. From the start, they made us feel very welcome.

Nick is a skillful and very helpful captain. Always anticipating every single need of each guest and going above the call of duty. Always willing to satisfy requests and extremely helpful to everyone.

Jade is an accomplished chef. All her dishes were not only amazing but decorated and presented like a 5 star restaurant. Every single meal was a fantastic surprise.

They complement each other very well. Both help the other in their duties and do it seamlessly. The boat is spotless all the time. Rooms done while we had breakfast and turn in while having dinner. Their attention to details was mind blowing.

We have done this type of trip and charter multiple times and can say beyond doubt that this trip has been the best of all thanks to both of them. Hope to repeat soon!

An absolute Dream

Our family catamaran trip to the British Virgin Islands was an absolute dream, and so much of the credit
goes to our incredible captain, Brandon. From start to finish, it was a seamless blend of adventure,
relaxation, and top-notch hospitality, all thanks to Brandon’s expertise, warmth and ability to lead a first
class adventure.

We spent our days cruising through the turquoise waters, exploring hidden coves, and enjoying stunning
beaches. Brandon expertly navigated us to some of the most beautiful and secluded spots in the BVI.
Whether we were snorkeling and diving in crystal-clear waters, or simply lounging on deck soaking in the
views, every moment felt like paradise.

We are an ocean going adventurous surfing family from Hawaii who have been blessed to travel the world
on many vacations. We requested a crew who could accommodate and we couldn’t be any more grateful
for this pairing! Brandon was not only an experienced captain but also a knowledgeable guide, making
sure we were comfortable and safe every step of the way. His calm and reassuring presence made every
excursion feel effortless and fun.

Then, there was the food. Every meal was absolutely amazing, with fresh, local ingredients that perfectly
captured the flavors of the islands. From fresh seafood to Caribbean-inspired dishes, every bite was a
treat. Brandon went out of his way to ensure we had everything we wanted, accommodating dietary
preferences and making every meal an event in itself.

What truly made this trip unforgettable, though, was Captain Brandon himself. He’s the kind of person
who genuinely loves what he does and makes you feel like part of the family. His incredible skill on the
water was matched only by his charm and hospitality. He kept us laughing with stories, shared his deep
knowledge of the islands, and made sure we felt taken care of at every turn. His warmth and
attentiveness turned what could have been a great trip into an extraordinary one.

We came home with memories we’ll cherish forever, and it’s all thanks to Captain Brandon and his
incredible service. If you’re looking for an unforgettable family getaway in the British Virgin Islands, this is
the way to go! We can’t recommend it enough.

Started as strangers, left as lifelong friends!

Nat is a great chef, preparing not only delicious meals, but beautiful as well. Her talents don’t end in the
kitchen, she’s a great leader for fun game nights/dance parties! Finally, Nat did a great job driving us
around and playing tour guide on Anegada! She’s a fun, smart, talented, well rounded beautiful
sweetheart! We loved our week with Nat!!!

One of the best vacations we’ve ever had! From the incredible food to the exceptional service and
unforgettable activities, everything was truly five-star. What began as a week of sailing with strangers
quickly turned into an experience where we made lifelong friends. I highly recommend this trip to anyone
looking for an extraordinary adventure.

A holiday of a lifetime!

During our trip in Panama, we were welcomed by the amazing Captain Brandon and the beautiful Chef,
Natichka. From stepping on board Stand By One, we knew that we were in for a holiday of a lifetime! We
got to explore amazing islands off the coast of Panama for 8 days and words can’t begin to describe the
memories we made. Captain Brandon is one gem of a Captain, his knowledge on sailing and the ocean
blew our minds. He always put our safety first and we could always ask him a million questions about the
boat, our surroundings and he would always give us information with a smile. Chef Natichka filled our
bellies with amazing food and she makes a killer Tiramisu! There were always snacks and drinks and she
would sneak chocolates into our cabins at night where our comfy beds awaited us opened with dimmed
lights making us feel like royals. The kids loved playing games and using the toys and Nats let them bake
with her in the mornings which they absolutely loved. We adore Brandon and Nats. They are amazing
people with adventurous souls and have a gift for making people feel at home and ready to explore the
day.
We can’t wait to charter with them again!

Panama adventure!

Due to weather changing and a lightning storm heading towards our pick up in Panama, we had to
change the location of our charter and Captain Brandon and First Mate Natichka did everything they
possibly could to still make our trip happen. They ended up sailing the boat to a new location for 27 hours
so that we could still have our holiday and we are forever grateful.

We arrived in Bocas Del Toro with no idea what to expect and by day 3 we were experienced sailors and
the kids turned into mermaids. Captain Brandon is an exceptional Captain with great stories to tell. He
always made sure we had a drink in our hand and no request was too much to ask. He is an extraordinary
Diver and whilst we were still new to diving, he made us feel like we could conquer any dive! With his
positive attitude and hard working ethics, he created an environment where we could relax, rewind and
feel no need to worry about the boat, our safety or if we’ll get bored.

First mate Nats is one of the funniest people we’ve ever met. Her stories about traveling and life are
interesting and she made us add about 8 new destinations to our bucket list! She cooked what we liked
and made sure to feed us lots of snacks! Her cooking style is a combination of traveling with your taste
buds and feeling like we’re at a restaurant every day. Did we mention that her deserts are to die for? She
loves to play games and would stay up late with the kids and they’re yet to beat her at UNO!

What made their duo so special to us is that they would both be in the galley at times, but also both drive
the boat. Their team work was smooth, efficient and they never asked us to help with anything!

The kids learned how to fish, how to freedive and left with a lot of participation certificates and polaroid
photos. They haven’t stopped talking about Captain Brandon and Chef Nats. They are both very
comfortable in the water and never said no to a snorkel tour. I would charter with them again in a
heartbeat and can’t wait to have them visit our home in return.
Best charter ever!
