Captain: George Kourniotis

George is an experienced skipper who genuinely loves life at sea and sharing the magic of the Greek islands with his guests—whether he’s sailing or running a fast, smooth day on a power boat. He’s calm, discreet, and easy to be around, with a natural “host” mindset: his goal is for everyone onboard to feel relaxed, looked after, and truly welcome, like they’re travelling with a trusted local friend. When he’s not on the helm, George enjoys exploring new places, finding small seaside tavernas, and he’ll never say no to a good plate of grilled fish with lemon, olive oil, and plenty of homemade sauces on the side. With professional skipper training, a Hellenic Coastguard Speed Boat Operator License, and internationally recognized safety certifications
(First Aid, Sea Survival, VHF), he speaks Greek and English and loves tailoring each trip to the pace, mood, and wishes of his guests.

Spring 18-25 July 2026

Had a great week sailing. George was an amazing skipper and Peter’s food was delicious 😋. Would definitely recommend , nothing was too much to ask and they made our week a lot of fun! Amazing.

George and Peter were brilliant and very welcoming. Peter cooked delicious food every meal. George was a great Captain and drove smoothly. 👍🏻👌🏼

George and Peter looked after the eight of us very well and took us to some amazing places including “Paradise”. George was a very knowledgeable skipper and knew the island’s well and Peter’s food was delicious. How he cooked some of his amazing dishes in the space he had was absolutely mind blowing. Would highly recommend a week on “Spring” with these two in charge.

Spring 20-27 June 2026

This is the second time we've had Captain Sevastos and his crew sail with us on the Spring boat. Each year is a more perfect adventure for me and my whole family. The service has always been impeccable, and the route chosen was perfect, always keeping our well-being and the interests of my entire family in mind. As always, it's a pleasure to work with such excellent professionals, whom we now consider family.

Spring 13-20 June 2026

We chartered the Spring with Captain George and Chef Petros. Unfortunately I can only give them and the yacht just 5 Stars. I would give more if I could. Everything was perfect. Captain George never failed to get us to a great port or perfect anchorage. He looked after us constantly and always had a watchful eye on my 2 young grandsons. In addition to the grandsons there were 8 adults, plus the crew on this spacious catermaran. We never felt cramped at all. We came for the experience but ultimately all we could think about was the next meal that Chef Petros would prepare. We have not yet had a meal in Athens or ashore on our cruise that came close to his amazing meals. 5 stars alone for his breakfasts, lunches and dinners! A truly unbelievable week sailing the Saronic.

Spring 30 May - 06 June 2026

What an incredible week! We had the best crew as we explored the beautiful islands of Greece. George our captain was enjoyable, knowledgeable and communicated well with us as he helped us plan our route. We were in good hands. Chef Savvos brought the experience to the next level with his meals! The food was absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to do this again someday!

Spring 23-30 May 2026

Top notch ArgoSaronic sailing experience on Spring with Exadas. Nikos and Harry are very thorough and professional. We have done 7 charters in total and this was our best experience so far. Stamatis is a truly fantastic Captain and we felt safe at all times. Chef Savvas has world class culinary skills. Our crew was engaging and local knowledge was so helpful as they knew the owners some of the most perfect tavernas in each town. We got red carpet treatment everywhere. So happy to have had the chance to make what we consider two new friends. SAS efcharisto

Spring 11-18 October 2026

I have nothing but praise for our experience. We booked Spring, a 51 ft Catamaran, with the intention of doing the Sardonic/Cyclades itinerary.

We met our Captain George Sevastos and our Chef Vasilis at 3 on Saturday at the Marina in Athens. The boat was perfect with 6 cabins and 4 heads. There were 7 of us (2 couples). The boat looked brand new and everything was impeccably clean. There was plenty of room for us and spare cabins for our luggage and ample room to each go somewhere on our own if we needed a little alone time.

The itinerary we selected we were told by Captain George was not feasible so we had to change our plans. We explained how much sailing and time by motor we were willing to do and discussed the islands we thought we would enjoy the most. It was early October so most islands start closing up. George was VERY PATIENT WITH US as we discussed possibilities and eventually settled on doing the Cyclades that were further away and would require more travel between stops.

George was fantastic! He shared his love of the country and favorite ports and explained the winds, how the islands came to be and knew where to get a good meal. He was also an amazing photographer!

Our Chef shared his love of cooking and Greek cuisine with us and was up early daily preparing breakfast and once done starting up on lunch. The meals were delicious and the sweet treats fabulous! (Not easy cooking in a small galley and being bounced around.)

There was never a lack of food and the abundance was insane! (My only complaint would be it was too much but we did say we enjoyed large meals so that was probably our mistake 😊).

The places we stopped at were incredible and George made sure to always ask if we would like to make stops at places maybe we had not planned on but he thought we would enjoy.

At no point in time on the trip did we feel George and “Billy” were in our way or was it awkward. They did their jobs and were super curious and respectful. They made sure we did not lift a finger and catered to our every need making us feel certainly on vacation & safe on the open waters. An evening out with them in Poros for dinner was a great deal of fun.

All in all it was a fabulous trip that won’t be soon forgotten for 7 friends from University sharing their 60th birthday together.
