About the Crew
Bruno Benčić was born in 1993 in Zagreb, Croatia. Bruno is a distinguished maritime professional with a long-standing connection to the Adriatic Sea. He holds a degree from the Faculty of Kinesiology, where he specialized in sailing, further strengthening his dedication to nautical science and maritime pursuits. Raised along the Croatian coastline, Bruno was introduced to sailing early in life, developing a deep affinity for the sea that has shaped both his personal and professional journey. Since beginning his career as a professional skipper in 2017, Bruno has accumulated extensive experience navigating some of Croatia’s most renowned sailing regions. Over the years, he has cultivated comprehensive local knowledge, strong industry relationships, and a thorough understanding of the Adriatic’s coastline and island destinations. His professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to guest satisfaction ensure that every voyage is expertly planned and executed to the highest standard. Bruno is particularly valued by families for his calm, patient, and attentive nature. He is skilled at creating an enjoyable and secure environment for children, engaging them with water activities and introducing them to the fundamentals of sailing, allowing parents to relax and fully appreciate their holiday. A fluent English speaker, he brings exceptional regional expertise, offering guests insightful guidance throughout their sailing experience. During charters, Bruno coordinates a variety of onshore activities across the islands visited, including wine tastings, historical excursions, and cycling tours, ensuring guests experience the cultural and natural richness of each destination. Outside the main sailing season, Bruno serves as an instructor with the Croatian Sailing Academy, where he contributes to the development of future skippers by sharing his extensive practical knowledge and maritime experience. He is also involved in the delivery of new catamarans to Croatia, continuously expanding his nautical mileage and working toward advanced skipper certifications that qualify him to command larger luxury vessels.
WHAT MAKES HIM HAPPY BESIDE WORK: Bruno finds genuine happiness in spending quality time with family and friends, engaging in outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, spearfishing, and skiing, and exploring new hobbies that keep him active and inspired. He also enjoys listening to music and traveling to new places, where he can experience different cultures and broaden his perspectives. These interests enrich his personal life and contribute to his warm, open, and enthusiastic approach to working with guests from around the world.
Andrea Miočić, born in 1998 in Zadar, Croatia. Involved in sports since child hood, played volleyball in 1st state league. She graduated from the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb with a major in sailing. Andrea’s passion for sports and physical activity has driven her to work with children as a sports coach in swimming and as a physical education teacher. Her parents own a restaurant by the sea, so she spent a lot of time working with food and as a waitress from young age. Later at the university she fell in love with sailing and the sea. She worked as tour guide on a ship around National park. Then she started working private boat tours as a skipper on speedboats, also as a hostess on the sailing boats. She participated in many sailing regattas. Andrea is fluent in English and Italian with a B-category skipper license. Known for her persistence, friendliness, excellent communication and teamwork, she consistently creates warm atmosphere and positive experiences for all guests including the youngest. Off season she works in school as teacher and as a private and group trainer.
WHAT MAKES HER HAPPY BESIDE WORK: She likes to spend time in nature and by the sea, listen to music and cook. Fitness and travelling the world are her favorite things.
